In this blog post, I share my favourite self-care tips for Spring so that you can glow up for summer. I’m going to give you some healthy tips that you can apply to your own life and incorporate into your morning routine. Let’s get glowing!
Lemon Water
Warm lemon water first thing in the morning with a pinch of sea salt balances your body’s PH and help boosts immune function. It’s also great for digestion and sets up your body to be functioning properly for the rest of the day.
Gratitude Journaling
Listing all the things you are grateful for is proven to make you happier with your life in the present moment. It’s also a great way to reduce stress. Counting your blessings is also a great way to speed up your manifestations by focusing on what you already have.
Taking Morning Walks
Morning sun is potent in infrared light which is proven to have anti-aging benefits like reducing wrinkles and boosting collagen. It will also boost your energy throughout the rest of your day.
Stretching For Self-Care
Movement practices like yoga improves posture and flexibility. Builds muscle strength and increases blood flow. It’s also great self-care for toning and weight loss.
Having A Mindfulness Practice

Drink Healthy Smoothies
Smoothies are a great way to get your daily count of fruits and vegetables. Try adding anti-oxidant rich leafy greens like spinach or kale to your smoothies for your daily dose of beta-carotene, known for it’s ability to renew and repair skin. Adding superfoods like maca, greens powders and ashwagandha to balance hormones and improve fertility.
DIY Beauty Treatments
Self-care beauty treatments don’t have to be expensive. A lot of them you can Do-It-Yourself in the privacy of your own home. I like to use a bentonite clay masks to detoxify my skin and reduce the appearance of pores. It has excellent anti-inflammatory properties and is especially beneficial for oily and acne-prone skin.
Another treatment I love is a scalp treatment that I make at home. It helps moisturize a dry, itchy scalp and reduce flaking, especially after a long winter. Here’s the recipe.
DIY Scalp Treatment
I use castor oil as my carrier oil (fill half a small bottle)
Add 5 drops of geranium oil
Add 10-20 drops of squalene oil
