What Makes You a Power Woman?
Well Caitlin Power’s new Power Woman lipstick sure does! Power collaborated with beauty bar, MYNC, to design her own shade to support Dress For Success, an organization that supplies disadvantaged women with professional clothing for employment. Moisturizing ingredients like Shea butter and avocado oil give the lipstick a smooth finish. When first applied, the colour comes off as a deep red, but when worn looks like a blend of a subtle neutral with a berry. “I thought it looked great on multiple skin tones and it’s a great colour for fall and the holidays,” said Caitlin Power.

Power showcased a new Holiday 2015 collection alongside the lipstick launch, with a mini fashion show taking place at MYNC uptown. Models displayed two different looks, to a total of 10 dresses. Power revealed a more feminine side this season, with softer silhouettes, silver metallics and thigh-high skirt slits.

A subdued colour palate of black, silver, oxblood and a deep olive hints at Christmas colour schemes without being overt. The new Power Woman lipstick compliments the holiday collection, in retaining a sleek appearance. The collaboration between Power and Dress for Success portrays the motif behind all of Power’s work—whether it be lipstick or clothing—is to empower women.
The limited edition lipstick is available for purchase on Power’s website and MYNC locations in Toronto, with all proceeds going to Dress For Success.
